Application Analyst – Training & Support

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Application Analyst – Training & Support to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in biology or agriculture who is eager to develop technical skills while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Many technical skills will be taught on the job, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their expertise in software, data management, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Guidance

  • Assist clients with using our Phenome Networks platform and PhenoTop mobile app.
  • Provide guidance on data entry, variety testing, and platform features.
  • Respond to client inquiries via email and chat, ensuring clear and helpful communication.

Knowledge Base Support

  • Help maintain and update our WordPress knowledge base.
  • Write clear and accessible guides to support customers in using our platform.

Technical Growth (Training Provided)

  • Learn to support MySQL database queries and backend logic.
  • Assist with API connections and token-based authentication setup.

Training and Documentation

  • Conduct customer training sessions (onsite and online) to improve platform adoption.
  • Collaborate with Dana and the technical team to simplify complex processes into easy-to-follow guides.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Degree in Biology, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Willingness to learn technical skills such as SQL, WordPress, and API handling.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

  • Familiarity with MySQL, WordPress, or SaaS platforms.
  • Basic understanding of coding languages like Perl or Flutter.
  • Previous experience in customer support or technical documentation.
  • Additional language skills, especially Spanish – Advantage.
